SPAIN THE SUPREME CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD ? No !
SPAIN THE SUPREME CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE ? No !
SPAIN CANNOT BEAT PORTUGAL.
SPAIN LOST 5-0 WITH PORTUGAL IMMMEDIATELY AFTER THE WC 2010 & IN THE EURO 2012 SPAIN COULD NOT BEAT PORTUGAL. The referee denied a penalty to Portugal
People who claim Spain are TRUE champions are either stupid (LOL) OR are back side lickers.
Politics gave those three cups to Spain.
SPAIN CANNOT BEAT PORTUGAL – WHAT SORT OF CHAMPS ARE THEY THEN
I found you !
“it was rumoured that he was a personal bet (what?) of Villas-Boas… and was not in Chelsea’s plans, as he is a former Porto player (what?)”
Chelsea as a whole wanted Meireles, not just Villas Boas. Chelsea said they wanted him at the last minute so Meireles handed in a transfer request at the last minute, forcing Liverpool to transfer him. The first thing Villas Boas did when he joined Porto was sell Meireles so why would he be so eager to buy him by himself?
It made no sense? Did you bother to read the newspapers at all when he was transferred to Chelsea? It was documented in a variety of sources that he was transferred during the last day of the transfer window as a result of AVB’s request. You should check your facts before making such statements. As for his qualities, I have followed him very closely during the Euro, and if you really think his performances prove otherwise, then I guess we both see football in a totally different way.
Liverpool didn’t let him go. Meireles handed in a transfer request meaning Liverpool were pretty much forced to move him. As for your comment about AVB, you might want to reword it because it made no sense. As for your “ratings”, he is definitely not slow on the ball and presses extremely well so i’m not sure you’ve watched him very often. As for your “crumbles easily under pressure comment” – not only is it completely general and irrelevant, but all the big matches he’s won suggest otherwise.
we won you three times in a row without any effort, isn’t that enough ?
oh well, i really don’t give a crap what you’re saying so i will just stop answering, when i see with my own eyes the netherlands win anything i will give you reason, until then, you’re just worthless arrogant jerks who will never win anything with that same attitude you’re demonstrating.
See you next time, say goodbye to your mom for me 🙂
lol, what a pathetic loser xD
Greetings from Portugal, thank you for your support. I guess it wasn’t too bad to lose against the world and european champion which also was favorite to not only winning this game but to win the euro cup on penalties when we were clearly robbed when you stayed in the group stage (which included denmark) with not even one point, if you’re happy right now, you are clearly pathetic. Well, 2004 2006 and 2012, see you next time, to beat your asses once more.
Go look at our team international titles, like benfica, fc porto and sporting cp.
Then look at england’s club international titles and other countries.
first of all you are not from brazil, i just know that. second we have two world cups in juniors and a final in euro which by the way we didn’t won because of other stuff that was going on outside of the field if you know what i mean, we are always in euro and world cups and we are the only team in the world that once we are in groups we pass the the quarter finals and if you really think that you should do some more research, because people that say that don’t usually understand sht of football
i don’t give a fck if we loose man, we’re an honest people and if we loose we know how to admit that the other team was better, so you can laugh whatever you want, Portugal pwned you three times in a row and we still don’t have our egos up our asses you arrogant piece of shit, what’s with all that yabadabado ? you sound like a bitch xD
I consider the period in the first half of the German play (when they scored to goals) as one of the best art of soccer I have ever seen. Like a computer would do: in difference to the (good tactical tici-taca) even more low energetic, A kind of meditative movement and passing on the point. no wasted pass, no wasted space, no wasted movement and then out of nothing: goal … it was like 10 Oezil would play …
i don’t care we’re still better than you zero pointed noobs
AT LEAST WE NEVER LEFT GROUP STAGE WITH ZERO POINTS ! PAHAHAH YOU NOOBS, YOU THOUGHT YOU WOULD WIN EURO BUT ZERO POINTS XDDD
SEE U NEXT TIME NOOBLETS
Euro cup is a lot tougher competition, because they’re many European teams that are better than teams that qualified for world cup.
It’s disappointing how my country’s colonizer only have Robin Van Persie and Rafael Van Der Vaart to score in the last 3 games and loses to Denmark…how they can manage to make it to the World cup Final when they lost 3 games in a row in this Euro?!
Ok
Here you go:

I don’t think he has “tons of energy” as you mention, quite the contrary, his attitude contrasts to that of his team-mates, in that he is far less persistent and aggressive in tackling his opponents. He does possess qualities, I give you that. He’s got a great long range shot, and he’s really good at long range passes, but he always needs a lot of space to impose his qualities, which against a top class team you don’t have. Sneijder and Van Der Vaart are much better players to be fair.
I don’t agree at all. I think he is highly overrated, and if he was really that good, Liverpool would not have let him go, considering how weak their team is at the moment, he would have been indispensable. Besides, it is rumoured that he was a personal bet from Villas-Boas in the last day of the transfer window, and was not in Chelsea’s plans, as he is a former Porto player. About his qualities, I rate him as rather slow on the ball, hardly presses well and crumbles easily under pressure.
BTW Liverpool let him go because he handed in a transfer request as Chelsea had said they wanted to sign him and it was a better situation for him in every way and he ended up winning the CL.
I agree, he has been the worst but he does a lot of the small things right and helps to contribute at everything on the field. He has tons of energy, never stops working, presses really well, wins the ball back a lot, makes some good tackles, distributes the ball well, makes some good runs from midfield, can take set pieces, can occasionally score and is experienced at every level. A team like the Netherlands would kill for an all-around midfielder like that.
