Just look at Erik Lund from Biarritz
I bet the Norwegians would have some monster forwards. Similar to the US eagles tighthead prop.
Is it Stian? He is a very good lock for that level. Played against him many times and Hate Bergen FC but respect him as a good player with sportmanship. Couldn’t say the same about the other prick thats in this video and plays hooker.
haha some guy at the end saying ‘this is our country’ but not saying it in the native tongue.
Not Touchdown but TRY!
we do play league
lmao what even
Love it! All the best Norway and Denmark, growing strength to strength with Rugby Union.
to be honest, im not that bothered, but summer ‘touch’ contests were documented in my local club’s centenary book back in the 1880s, which would pre-date RL.
it probably pre-dates the codification of rugby, as a form of rugby had been around for centuries and playing ‘touch’ without any ball at all is dated back further than the black death! so, i suspect the 2 things were probably put together long before 1870.
but, if it means that much to you, RL can have the credit for it!
No it doesnt champ. A simple search on the net will show that you are not using common sense. It was a training tool for rugby league and became popular because of its non contact. The biggest thing about RU is that it is continuous and contest for posession. These are things that league and touch do not have which is living proof that it comes from league. Please do some research!
touch rugby pre-dates Rugby League!
Im Irish and i was in Copenhagen recently,i play for a local irish team. we were on tour there and i must say i was really impressed with their all round play and physical commitment, we won the games but only just ,they were very tight games. rugby is really growing in Denmark now.
and norway’s number 4 in the video is Erik Lund, actually one of the best lock forwards in France championship (he plays with Biarritz)
cool to see rugby played in these countries!
There is a European Gridiron competition, but it is really off the radar. Why dont you try Rugby in the US? It is the fastest growing sport in the US and I have played with a lot of Americans (in Europe and US) who switched from Am football and loved it. It has all the hits and physical aspects without all the padding. You wouldnt have to be performing at that high a level to play for Norway!
I can only hope norway starts playing league
NORGE!!!!!
Well Done Norsemen 🙂
WESLEY!
I notice they use tag rugby which comes from rugby league to teach the kids?
Um, no gridirion team in Norway.
im american, but im half norweigon. does norway have an american football team?
